Today I was inspired by a smoothie my sister frequently favorites, but since I didn’t have frozen blueberries on hand, I substituted frozen aronia berries and frozen cherries. The measurements below are estimates, since I don’t typically measure out my smoothies.

In a blender, combine:

  • 1/4 c frozen cherries
  • 1/4 c frozen aronia berries (I found these at Whole Foods)
  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 2 T almond butter
  • 2 T hemp seeds
  • small handful spinach or kale
  • about 1 c almond milk, give or take
